Wes Paz - Issaquah, WA

Wes is an award-winning veteran photojournalist and picture editor whose experience spans nearly 30 years of news photography including numerous international assignments. His professional resume includes staff photographer positions with five U.S. daily newspapers (serving as director at two of these) and 10 years on the staff of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch as photographer and picture editor. In 1993, Wes was part of the team of journalists from the Post nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for their colaboration in the coverage of the great Mississippi River flood of that year.

Wes' photography has been featured in several "coffee-table" books and he has produced work for a variety of publications including Time, Newsweek, US News & World Report, National Geographic, The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, New York Newsday and Sports Illustrated. His work has frequently been distributed by United Press International, the Associated Press and other international news agencies. Wes has extensive experience in Editorial, Fashion, Sports and Portrait photography. He is available to clients internationally with creative needs in any of these areas. In addition to his background in photojournalism, Since 1995 Wes has served as a founding partner and managing director in two successful start-up media companies. His role in these ventures has included all aspects of creation, implementation and administration of the daily business operations. Wes is also co-owner in a farming business which is the exclusive provider of fresh, certified-organic blueberries to one of America's most familiar premium brands.
